Tesla and Space X chief Elon Musk while replying to a tweet asserted that he does not own any Ethereum (ETH). He added that he isn’t for or against it and clarified that he is not building anything on Ethereum. The reply was to a tweet by iconic Star Trek actor William Shatner, who claimed that Ethereum CEO Vitalik Buterin and Elon Musk were trying to build something on the Ethereum platform.
I’m not building anything on ethereum. Not for or against it, just don’t use it or own any.

In May 2019, Elon Musk tweeted “Ethereum”, which caused the ETH price to rally for a while. However, the pioneer never really explored the platform, though Buterin had invited Musk for the Ethereum Devcon in October last year. Reacting to Musk’s recent tweet, Binance chief Changpeng Zhao stated that a few years ago, very few celebrities spoke about crypto, and it would be a surprise if they do not own crypto in a few years.
A few years ago, very few celebrities talk about crypto.
Today, CT still gets excited when celebrities talk about crypto.
In a few years, we'd be surprised if celebrities didn't own crypto. https://t.co/Bbx2VfpH9j

Elon Musk not owning Ethereum is not an issue, but the powerful influencer did indicate his interest in it when he tweeted about Ethereum last year. Such stunts make the vulnerable investors excited and they tend to invest more in Ethereum, however, now that he has announced that he doesn’t own any ETH, those who put their buck on the token after being influenced by Musk would definitely feel agitated, to say the least.
